SUMMER CLASSES

Summer classes are an opportunity for new students to be introduced to the multifaceted Pure Energy Ballet Program while also providing growth opportunities for students presently enrolled in our program. Without the pressure of school, summer is the perfect time for dancers to dive into enjoying and appreciating their passion. We will be hosting classes every Monday-Friday during the month of June. Balley IV and V will continue through July.

Throughout the Summer all instructors are available for private lessons. Weekly classes are held throughout June and July and the Ballet intensive will take place August 5th-10th.

Ballet Intensive

We kick off summer classes at Pure Energy with our weeklong ballet intensive! This is a great way to refine your technique while also being exposed to new ideas and concepts that we don’t have time for during the school year. Dancers placed in Ballet II-V may attend our Ballet Intensive from August 5th-10th.

The intensive will be full of Ballet Technique, Pointe Technique, Pre-Pointe Education and Strength, Character Dancing, Nutrition, Injury Prevention, Ballet Education, and Choreography. Throughout the week your dancer will learn choreography in multiple styles of dance in which you get to enjoy at our free showcase on August 10th!

*All dancers Saturday, August 10th, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM warm-up, 12:00 PM Showcase and reception.

SUMMER BALLET CLASSES BY LEVEL

  • At this level ballet is included as part of our Level 2 Dance Dedication program. You can see the summer program options for Level 2 on our Summer Dance Dedication page.

  • Contact the studio for your dancer’s level placement.

  • By Ballet Level IV the dancers have become skilled at navigating the more demanding class schedule, and additional requirements. Most dancers have passed their pointe test and have been working en pointe. They have the option to pursue just ballet or the full ballet and Dance Dedication programs combined. Most choose to continue with both tracks. Summer tends to be a time where they really enjoy being immersed in their dance training. The time commitments for technique and pointe increases, but the hours in the intensive are the same as what they have become used to in Ballet III. Any dancers moving up to Ballet IV will move up beginning in June. Summer is a great time to get their feet wet and learn what to expect before jumping into the full fall curriculum. New dancers to the program are strongly encouraged to get started in the summer for the same reason.

*Ballet IV classes continue through June and July

Dancers must be assessed for placement by ballet director Megan Becker and registered by a Pure Energy Admin. Please email ballet@pureenergybcs.com.com or call 979-703-1868 for registration assistance.

They can choose to pursue ballet only or ballet and Dance Dedication combined, with most dancers choosing to do both. Technique and pointe requirements have increased, both with the time commitment as well as expectations.
