Pure Energy Dance Productions Dancers to Shine in Balanchine’s Jewels Ballet
We are excited to announce Pure Energy Dance Productions' upcoming ballet showcase for the Fall 2024 season! This semester, our talented ballet dancers will be performing George Balanchine’s iconic ballet masterpiece, Jewels. This celebrated ballet pays tribute to the brilliance of precious stones, presenting an extraordinary journey through classical ballet.
Each act of Jewels—Emeralds, Rubies, and Diamonds—offers a unique style and musical interpretation, providing a rich learning experience for our students. This semester-long study of the ballet allows our dancers to dive deep into the choreography, history, and nuances of classical ballet.
Our ballet students, from Levels II-V, will be joined by special guest performers from Ballet Level I and our Shining Stars program, adding even more excitement to this magical performance.
ABOUT THE BALLET: JEWELS
Jewels is a timeless ballet that encapsulates the elegance and diversity of classical ballet through the interpretation of three gemstones.
Emeralds: A reflection of the elegance and poise of French ballet, characterized by flowing movements and subtle grace.
Rubies: A dazzling showcase of the lively, jazzy style that represents American ballet, full of energy and sharp movements.
Diamonds: A tribute to the grandeur and formality of Russian ballet, featuring powerful, regal choreography.
Originally choreographed by George Balanchine, Jewels has become a celebrated ballet that is loved worldwide, blending history, style, and brilliant musical compositions.

Dress Rehearsal: 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM
Performance, Saturday, November 9th, 2024 – The Stage at Pure Energy Dance Productions
Warm-up: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Performances: 3:30 PM & 5:00 PM
We invite friends, family, and the entire community to join us for this free ballet showcase of Jewels. After both shows, we will set aside time for photos with the dancers.
