Kick like a Rangerette!

Perfect kicks are always in style for any dancer! 

We know all dancers are eager to have the best kicks possible and we'd like to give you an opportunity to learn from the best!  

Leslie Patterson is a former Kilgore College Rangerette and is excited to share her knowledge to help you prepare for spring auditions for your high school or college drill team by perfecting your kick technique. Techniques focused on will include: Stretching, jump kicks, fan kicks, star kicks, graduated kicks, traveling kicks, kicks combinations and of course jump splits! Leslie will gladly answer any questions you might have about the drill team world and is excited to see you all there.

Whether you are currently on a drill team, you want to audition for a college or high school team or you are looking to refine your technique this workshop is for you!  Do not let this opportunity to enhance your kick and dance skills pass by.

Leslie Patterson has graduated in 2015 with BA in Communication with a minor in Dance Science from Texas A&M University.  She started dancing at the age of three in Lufkin, Texas learning under Darlene Atkinson, Sarah Atkinson and Heather Bishop. Leslie Clothier has had a wide variety of teaching experience. Leslie started as student assistant teacher at the age of twelve years old at her local studio in Lufkin, TX. By the age sixteen Leslie was a paid employee at the Academy of Gymnastics and Dance in Lufkin teaching ages 3-15 in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and competitive dance teams. While attending Lufkin High School and working at the studio, Leslie was also and officer of the Panther Pride drill team where she taught and cleaned dances for her team on a daily basis. After graduating high school, Leslie auditioned for the Kilgore College Rangerettes and was selected as a member of the 72nd line.  She has had the opportunity to perform in Hawaii for the 70th Commemoration of the Attack on Pearl Harbor in 2011, The AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic in 2011, 2012, and 2013, along with the honor of performing at the Texas Black Tie and Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball in 2013.  She has had the privilege to take master classes from Shelley Wayne (Encore Productions), Lexie Drennan (Elite Dance Center), Ashlee Langus (So You Think You Can Dance, Top 20 finalist). Most recently has become a member of the Texas A&M dance program.
