Kate began her early childhood dance training at Margaret Halverson School of Dance followed by membership in the Brazos Valley company of dancers instructed by Debbie Spain. She extended her training at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts/Arts Magnet in Dallas. Texas.
Her college dance career furthered her knowledge of Martha Graham, Paul Taylor and Merce Cunningham techniques of modern dance. She was a member of the dance programs at both Mira Costa College and Palomar College in San Diego, California, both with rich dance programs. She received her degree in Liberal Studies and Education at California State University, San Marcos.
After 12 years of public and private school teaching, she began to focus on her three children during their young years. She has returned to dance in 2015 with enthusiasm and renewed passion, ever a learner and educator. Kate is driven to expose the world to the uplifting and restorative nature of the arts and the magic of movement.
