Christine Greve has been dancing since age 3 in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Her home studio, Alabama Dance Academy, trained her in ballet, jazz, contemporary, pointe, and musical theater. She performed in numerous productions from holiday specials around the city to classic ballet favorites such as the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty, having the opportunity to be cast in leading roles in many of the productions. Christine has also competed in the Youth America Grand Prix, one of the most prestigious international ballet competitions. She had the opportunity to work with prominent dance instructors associated with Indiana University, STEPS on Broadway, Alabama Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, and more. She cultivated her technique at various summer intensives with Joffrey (Texas), Indiana University, Kaatsbaan International Dance Center, and BalletMet.
Christine’s love of rocket science precluded her from becoming a corps member with a ballet company and instead took her to the University of Oklahoma and NASA for a B. S. in Aerospace Engineering. During this time she switched her focus to ballroom dancing to stay active. Upon graduation in 2017 she moved to College Station to begin as a graduate student at Texas A&M pursuing a PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
Christine is excited to have a local studio where she can not only continue to dance (The Dance Barre) but also begin to share her love of dance and all the life lessons it has taught her with others.
