In the Pure Energy Dance Productions dance studio the dance classes are kept small for individualized attention, and even boys dance here too. The staff has been trained in an impressive variety of dance techniques than span the globe, with an equally impressive list of accomplishments, accolades and performances. Ellen Wilcox is a 3rd generation dancer and studio owner that has created something special for the Bryan/College Station dance and arts community.
Pure Energy Dance Productions is passionately driven to inspire, encourage, and challenge the next generation of performers to take their place on the stage. We create trained and well-rounded dancers so that if one day they aspire to pursue a professional career, they will be equipped to do so. We train a little in competition, completely in performance, and absolutely focus on the individual. We model integrity, leadership, and responsibility, guiding all dancers to support and encourage each other. Dancers of any age should see themselves as role models, love and respect the study and performance of dance as an art form.
As a studio our focus is on preparing the community to have practical dance skills in life. Adults and children learn best in a positive and engaging environment. The best teachers are.loving and kind, but still challenge the student to be their best. It is a difficult balance to maintain and a trait that we look for in all of our instructors.
You'll find our staff frequently engaged with and choreographing for the the local community and high school theatre programs. We are also affiliated with Ballet Brazos, the Nutcracker, and bring dancers to community events. The local colleges and community groups also make use of our dance studio space for their dancers. Whether volunteering time as a performer, or leading choreography for the latest musical, it is both important and rewarding to be a part of our local community.
Dance classes can equip a student for a lifetime of joy and feeling of accomplishment.
