Learn dance technique at a deeper level including the art of dance within each specific dance style. Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop while more modern, have their own techniques, forms, vocabulary, and distinct styles. Different age groups will focus on delving deeper into their preferred style of dance, while continuing to have fun, develop friendships, and perfect the art and joy of dance.

Tuition:

Registration Fee of $40 per student or $55 per family due with registration.

60 minute classes are $65/month for 1 class/week; 75 minute classes are $75/month; 90 minute classes are $90/month for 1 class/week

Ballet

Traditional and highly formalized, ballet is characterized by its’ grace and precision. Because ballet technique requires such, control, grace and fluidity of movement it’s considered the foundation of all strong dance technique.

Dancers will be evaluated each spring (March) for placement in the fall. A copy of our evaluation form can be found here.

*Students in Ballet II and above are encouraged to attend two ballet classes per week for maximum progression as dancers.

**Pointe II/III Students may take Ballet IV en pointe as well as the barre portion of their Ballet V class en pointe at the teacher’s discretion. This additional time in their pointe shoes will give them the opportunities to work most effectively in their pointe technique progression.

Tap

Made popular by Fred Astaire, this class delves into the technique of tapping, teaching dancers how to use their feet as an instrument and be part of the music.

Acro & Tumbling

Dancing isn’t all twirls and spins! Tumbling and extension work has been growing in popularity, and learning to tumble as a dancer requires a specific set of training under the eye of a qualified instructor. In this class, dancers will work on exercises that will allow them to focus on the movements and muscles necessary to build towards tumbling proficiency.

Musical Theatre / Jazz

Introducing dancers to fundamentals of jazz, and applying it to musical theatre, this class focuses on preparing the next generation of stage performers for a lifetime on the stage.

Hip Hop

Vibrant and energetic, this class gets dancers moving to the beat! Using hip hop and tumbling dancers build strength, agility, and endurance while developing rhythm, coordination and gross motor skills.

Contemporary / Jazz

Although jazz, characterized by strong, powerful, precise movement seems to contrast with lyrical, the softer storytelling style, both of these genres are based in ballet, require similar technique, and are considered a foundation for any well rounded dancer.

Choreography

Choreography II: Learning to tell a story through dance takes practice, patience, and thoughtful instruction in technique. In this class, dancers will use Lyrical and Classical Ballet techniques as they learn to move through the music and use movement to tell their story.

Choreography III: Based in jazz and contemporary technique, dancers at this level are ready to begin exploring the world of choreographing for themselves. this class will feature a rotating list of instructors so that students will have the opportunity to be exposed to several different choreography styles.

Dance Exploration

The focus of this class is exposure to multiple dance styles. Dance styles will rotate every  few weeks. Example of styles studied include Ballroom, swing, Latin, salsa, modern, and other world dances.

Boys Dance Classes in Bryan College Station Texas

Boys Jumps & Turns

Men in dance are expected to have a wide repertoire of jumps, turns, and leaps. Learning to properly execute the movements requires strength, flexibility, and instruction under the close eye of a qualified instructor. In this class, dancers will learn to properly warm up and stretch for jumping and turning work, as well as breaking down the basics of how to execute the steps.
